Chimayo New Mexico miracle chapel
Hi.
I wonder how You feel about healing miracles?
There are lots of stories about people with various pains and problems who make pilgrimages to special places--where they are sometimes cured.
Now is it their faith ("Your faith has made you whole.") or is it the "magical" place or some mysterious combination of right time, right place and right faith?
Hmmmm?
There are whole books about this subject and this little blogspot is probably not going to answer your questions.
But I like to think that the tan, grainy sand (with a little bit of sparkly quartz dust) from the hole behind the Chimayo altar does me good--and it tastes just like the Rio Grande Valley dirt I used to get in my mouth playing in the vacant lot (now a shopping mall parking lot) next to the family place, the "Three Willow Ranch" on Candelaria Road in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I like that Chimayo dirt!
See ya!
Tomas
