Tanya with Chimayo dog
When we visited Chimayo last October, there was a friendly dog hanging around the flagstoned yard of the Chimayo church--just outside the little chapel where you can get your miraculous dirt.
This dog was one of those Everybody's Friend kind of dogs and probably belonged to one of the residents of the village--but it was not in what you would call perfect health.
It walked with a sort of limp and was obviously happier on it's back receiving strokes (see photo) than running around like a healthy young dog should.
So we sprinkled him with some healing dirt.
And the next time we saw him he was running after some other pilgrims just like a young healthy dog!
So it is-- you can believe it or not!
