This last day of October, 2008, Tanya and I took a very pleasant walk along the Sacramento River Trail.
The path--an almost level old railway right-of-way--has just been re-surfaced with a thick layer of asphalt--and has a newly painted bright yellow center-stripe to keep the bicyclists and joggers out of danger.
It is really nice.
Most of the summer it is far too hot here in Redding, California to do much walking--or anything else--outdoors in the daytime, but for the last few days--the weather has been splendid.
The rains started yesterday though so we expect that the rainy season has begun now which will make it too wet to do very much outdoors for the next few months.
