The Circle of Life

Try this music. It is one of my favorites and a star in the crown of all the artists, musicians and enablers of the Lion King production. The Endless Round indeed.

You may find it interesting that my oldest daughter, Kendall is studying in San Francisco to do animation like this. In the middle of her first year now, she's on the way to hopefully working for Disney or Pixar... reaching for the stars... and quite sure that her name will be at the end of movies along with all the others... she's always had pencil and paper close by.. it's her gift.

Daughter number two, Gigi wants a career in video or film.. wants her name up there too- but likes the machinery of cameras more so than drawing... as a matter of fact she won a statewide video contest last year!

We're all Disney freaks by the way- have everything Disney animators put out... in multiple formats.. as the girls have grown up on Disney.

Lion King is stellar by the way- definitely one of our favs!

Very interesting, thank you.

One of my mother's sisters, "Aunt Nila" Clayton worked for many years for Disney and knew the great man. She was one of the most important artists in the design of The Small World" at Disneyland---(one of the lucky spin-offs of her job was that we got free tickets to Disneyland from her when we were young).

I have known one other aspiring artist who is now working in the cartoon/film industry---so it seems an attainable goal--good luck with those dreams! And congratulations on the video contest win!

Disney--the best of Disney's work--is surely deeply important in the worldview of many Americans (and others) of the last three generations.

Sometimes these cartoons and their music touch something pretty deep, don't they?
