Bucky Wisdom

I came across this bit of Bucky wisdom in a U-tube video.

I had just photographed some chemtrails criss-crossing the sky
over Paso Robles, CA and was planning to mount another tirade
against this practice of public pollution--but now I begin to think:
"Why bother?" Those obviously very powerful persons responsible
for this bizarre covert-in-plain-sight project have their reasons, no doubt,
for clandestine secrecy which will come to light someday.

Chemtrails are the existing reality. Maybe we can build a new model.

Migrants

Thousands of the migrants from Africa, Asia and other parts of the world
are arriving on this island in the hope of finding a better life in Europe.
Mostly young men, often without education or useful skills,
these young people need help.

This is an unusual, unique opportunity.

If residents of Europe will temporarily give them living aide,
train them to useful work and welcome them,
no doubt they will be valuable future citizens.

It is the same with migrants and refugees all over the world

They're BACK

They're BACK!!

I was really worried for a few weeks.
There were NO more or less permanant contrails
in the sky over Paso.

Now I am happy to report that THEY'RE BACK!

Of course they are not officially back--
in fact they don't officially exist--
but shortly after noon today they started to be
traced across the sky by planes so high
they are a mere speck in the sky--
ah, but their chem---uh--CON trails
paint the sky with their usual smears fairly pronto.

Since these trails don't exist I should not notice them-
but since they have been absent for a month just had to..

Like a bad penny or a ghost--they just keep appearing!

Hello, Dolly!

CERN

I think this is a meeting room at the CERN Large Hadron Collider
installation on the Swiss/French border in Europe.

Scientists there are hoping to discover more about the nature
of the universe by their experiments with electricity in
a seventeen-mile underground circular tunnel
rigged with special equipment.

Some think these experiments, which may be concerned
with "anti-matter",  may be quite dangerous.

conspiracy?

My photo June 17, 2015, Paso Robles, CA about 0900.

After five days without persistent jet contrails,
yesterday was  back to pollution as usual.

All day the high-flying jets were spreading their stuff over the sky
and by evening the sky was gray with whatever it is
they are spraying.

I am an older person--I remember the first jet airplane my
schoolmates and I had ever seen from  a school yard in Los Angeles--
we called it a "flying stovepipe" since it had no propeller.

I am very familiar with contrails since they were made by
many high-flying jet airplanes over the years, but these smudgy clouds
are not contrails.

Why do responsible people deny that something is being done to the air
we all must breathe?

When something is so obviously being done in the sky
can noticing it be called a conspiracy?

Today's first contrail

The first of today's "persistent jet contrails"--but not the last!

There are now six more forming a neat tic-tac-toe pattern
in the sky above the town of Paso Robles,CA. Just the way
commercial jet liners always have done--especially since there
are no commercial flight patterns over this town.

We wonder why, if these are beneficial,
no one is willing to take credit for them.

The pilots doing the job must be being paid a lot!

Will no Snowden come forth to expose who, what and why
these things, which do not officially exist, exist?

the above photograph was included.

I was surprised and pleased to see one of my favorite people,

concern for the global climate change problem .

Dr. Somerville suggested that with the help of "trusted messengers" such
as the Dalai Lama, the catastrophic results of current planetary
climate change could possibly be mitigated.

Geoengineering

This is not happening
The once blue sky overhead is not crisscrossed by vapor trails
(We won't call them "chem-trails" since they don't exist.)

The sky is white with poison,
aluminum particles or whatever it is that is being sprayed--
by these hundreds of high flying jet planes
but we won't complain because nothing is being sprayed.

Besides--who could we complain to since geoengineered sprayed clouds don't exist.

(Contrails have been there for years, you fool!)

Curriculum

Most high school students here in California carry cell telephones
equipped with camera, calculator, GPS and flashlight.

At present they are far more interested in these devices
and skilled in their use than in traditional computers
or traditional classroom activities.

If they can read, send simple messages and understand simple arithmetic,
by using their cell phones, they can function successfully in today's society.

Athletic endeavors, operating appropriate machines, driving cars,
getting along with others and feeling good about themselves
are also very important features of contemporary education
and schools, as they exist, are good places to learn and practice these skills.

Deeper learning, the sciences and humanities, of classical education,
while enriching to human society and individuals,
are perhaps not so necessary for all and could be
undertaken as desired only by such persons
who wish to follow such pursuits.

Deeper education could be understood as a lifelong process
not necessarily finished
in a specific four or five year make-or-break curriculum.

Unfortunately, cellphones transmit huge doses of radiation into the bodies of users
and will probably be the main cause of illness in the near future
as popular cigarette smoking was to an earlier generation..

Mop Cat

Cat plus mop in Nogales, Arizona.

This is one of my all-time favorite cat photos.

I was going to write about the pressing need to create jobs for people--
especially young people who want to "earn a living" when there are so few
meaningful work opportunities--FDR's "Right to Work" as one of the
basic rights, and a needed one, in this democracy,
when I chanced on this photo
made on a road trip a few years ago
which made me smile.
Maybe this cat has the right attitude to work after all!

And, just for fun, here is a photo Tanya took of me.

Gophers

Almost every day we walk a few blocks to a little park in a valley with a seasonal brook and oak trees.

This park (we call it a "parkito") may be there because it is in a rather abrupt and fairly deep valley--too steep for housing development though there are house lots all around it. There are no restrooms, playground or picnic tables--it is just a bit of common ground for dog walking and such urban activities.

What we like is that there is no traffic and usually no people or anything but natural features and inhabitants.

We have seen a land turtle, a family of deer, lots of birds including five or six wild ducks which stay the winter until the brook drys up  There are pollywogs in the spring and some minnows--though we don't see how they can survive since the brook is dry most of the year and a long way from any flowing water and there are several "towns" of gophers.

The gopher towns are very lively probably because there are few predators. The parkito is surrounded by busy streets and residences so we think no coyotes have made it into the animal mix and don't ask me how the deer managed to get in! Now and then a hawk flies around hopefully, but the gophers seem pretty wary of attack from the sky.

It is amusing to think that these little animals seem to enjoy life very much without grocery stores, schools or police. They are really on their own.

Tanya put her video of "our" gophers on the web for you

Simple Gifts

I like this tune and the philosophy in the lyrics.

SIMPLE GIFTS
18th century Shaker Song (traditional)

'Tis a gift to be simple,
'Tis a gift to be free,
'Tis a gift to come down
Where we ought to be.

And when we find ourselves
In the place just right,
'Twil be in the valley
Of love and delight.

When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend we shan't be ashamed.
To turn, turn will be our delight,
'Til by turning, turning we come round right.

Epic Review

I have been working as a substitute school teacher for a while.

Yesterday I was at a high school and my lesson plan, assigned by the regular teacher who was ill, was to show the fairly new nature fantasy movie/video EPIC, a state of the art full-length cartoon.

The students liked it and so did I.

There is a motto stated  by "Leafman", an insect-sized hero in the movie : "Many leaves, one tree", which is a cool new way of stating one of the old spiritual ideas--we are all separate but still connected. No one is alone. And a wise old caterpillar says: "Just because you don't SEE the connection doesn't mean they're not there."

I thought this very old wisdom was presented in an easily grasped way for a new generation.

I also appreciated the advice given by the Queen of the Forest to the teen age heroine: "You get back what you give." The girl goes on to save the forest by using her father's technology which I thought was a nice touch--a teen age woman saving the natural world with technology.

This film is not everybody's cup of tea, of course, but, for its targeted teen-age audience, I thought it was carefully crafted and well done..

Everything good in our own little patch of forest after the spring rains.

Cats of Mirikitani

There is a video called "The Cats of Mirikitani" that I especially like.

It tells the story of the life of a young Japanese man who is put onto a concentration camp in California at the beginning of the second world war. His "crime" is that he is Japanese. After the war he stays in America and has a solitary life as an old artist eventually living on the street in New York and selling his art work--mainly pictures of cats--to the city people who pass by.

In the winter of 2011 when the New York towers are attacked by Islamists he survives covered in ash. He is befriended by a younger New York woman who helps him find a place to live and to sell his work.

Maggie, our part-time pet in Redding.
