Dalai and Climatologist

Dr. Richard Somerville and the Dalai Lama

Yesterday evening I was watching a video featuring Dr. Richard Somerville:
"Urgent Action Limit Climate Change" by the Scripps Oceanographic Institute
in San Diego,, when near the end of the presentation,
the above photograph was included.

I was surprised and pleased to see one of my favorite people,
Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama,  adding his
concern for the global climate change problem .

Dr. Somerville suggested that with the help of "trusted messengers" such
as the Dalai Lama, the catastrophic results of current planetary
climate change could possibly be mitigated.

Geo engineering

All things share the same breath; the beast, the tree, the man.
The air shares its spirit with all the life it supports.

Geoengineering

This is not happening
The once blue sky overhead is not crisscrossed by vapor trails
(We won't call them "chem-trails" since they don't exist.)

The sky is white with poison,
aluminum particles or whatever it is that is being sprayed--
by these hundreds of high flying jet planes
but we won't complain because nothing is being sprayed.

Besides--who could we complain to since geoengineered sprayed clouds don't exist.

(Contrails have been there for years, you fool!)

Charles Lindbergh

Today is an anniversary of the daring flight
 by pioneering aviator Charles Lindbergh
across the Atlantic ocean in 1927
to become the first human to stand
in New York and Paris on the same day--
a feat which is duplicated in comfort daily
by thousands now.

Lindbergh said:

"What civilization was not founded on adventure."

and

"We live today in the dreams of yesterday
and, living those dreams,
dream again.
